The Dilemma

Through all the turbulence, she stayed forever true
Forever by my side but she steadily turns blue
She no longer breathes and her heart steadily bleeds
If only she would tell me what it is that she needs

To watch her is to suffer, but what is there to do
She can not be helped, her allegiance is to true
The cure looms ahead, but do the means justify the ends?
And do I have the strength to tell her we are no longer friends?

Tarry as I may, I know that the day awaits
When she recieves the cure and thus our love abates
I am left to count my blessings and pray to Him above
And remember that what I do, I do in the name of love

Loss of An Icon

For years shining bright, like a star on the horizon
Yet it seems even constellations meet their end
Your glow absent from the sky, yet not from our hearts
For can you ever truly lose a part of yourself?

As a steady rain falls upon those who mourn
It seems even the Earth is expressing its sorrow
For even our heavenly home feels the absence
And it grieves as we do, with a heavy heart

Yet through our sufferings we shall find peace
And with this peace a sweet understanding
For when one leaves so deep an impression
Like the hand in wet cement, it shall remain forever
